By accessing, browsing, downloading, installing, or continuing to use the ResumeTracker website, software, or AI Job Clipper Chrome Extension ("Software", "Services"), you acknowledge and agree that you are bound by these Terms of Service. Your continued use of this software acts as your legally binding consent and agreement to all terms and conditions set forth herein. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use and uninstall the extension.
design_services1. Services Provided
ResumeTracker provides career management and job search productivity tools, including:
- Job Application Tracking: Kanban pipeline boards, tabular application lists, contact management, stage logs, and search metrics.
- AI Job Clipper Chrome Extension: Browser-based tool to capture and format job postings from third-party websites into organized records.
- AI-Assisted Job Parsing: Automated extraction of requirements, qualifications, responsibilities, and skill matching.
cloud_sync2. Data Handling & Where Data Is Sent
To operate and provide the features of this software, certain data must be transmitted across specific destinations:
Clipped job postings, user account details, application statuses, and interview notes are transmitted over encrypted TLS/HTTPS connections to your ResumeTracker backend instance and persisted in a secure database.
When AI parsing features are invoked, job description content is sent to third-party AI inference gateways (primarily OpenRouter and Google Gemini API, connected via standardized OpenAI-compatible client libraries) solely to process and return structured summaries, required skills, and candidate insights.
Third-Party Model Retention & Free Account Disclosures: Data transmitted currently consists primarily of public job listing details. While we do not sell your data, third-party model vendors and inference hosts (especially when using free-tier endpoints or accounts) operate under their own terms and may retain prompt data for model training; we have no control over third-party AI provider retention, logging, or training practices and cannot guarantee their policies. If future updates introduce features that transmit personal user information to AI providers, we will notify users in advance.

THE SOFTWARE, EXTENSION, AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPERS AND OPERATORS OF RESUMETRACKER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.
- Not Responsible for Employment Outcomes: We are not responsible or liable for any employer hiring decisions, candidate selections, interview schedules, rejections, or missed application deadlines. ResumeTracker is an organizational tool and does not guarantee job placement or interview offers.
- Not Responsible for AI Accuracy: Artificial intelligence outputs, parsed job descriptions, extracted skills, and recommendations may occasionally contain hallucinations, inaccuracies, or incomplete information. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated outputs.
- Not Responsible for Third-Party Platforms: We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party websites (including LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, or corporate career sites). We are not liable if third-party website changes disrupt the extension’s ability to clip or parse jobs.
- Not Responsible for Data Loss or Downtime: We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of business opportunities, or system downtime.

You agree to use the Software solely for legitimate personal career management. You agree not to:
- Use the software or extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass any security features of the software.
- Use automated tools to abuse or flood the backend APIs or third-party AI endpoints.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
